Project Design Using Logical Framework Analysis (LFA) for Results Based Project Management

Course Objective: This is a 5 day training program geared towards the enhanced awareness and practical skills which are necessary for effective performance of projects through conceptualization, planning, implementation and appraisal using the Logical Framework Approach (LFA).

Course Content: The course topics will include the following:

- Assumptions of the LFA approach
- Fundamental advantages of LFA
- The LFA approach (Methodology)
- Planning frameworks through LFA
- Stakeholder analysis
- Analysis of the core project elements (internal and external)
- Undertaking project design
- Developing the logical hierarchies of functional projects
- LFA elements and results based planning
- Determining the objectively verifiable indicators
- Identifying the means of verification
- Assessing/checking the external factors
- Using the Log frame in project planning
- Project monitoring and review
- Project evaluation
- Challenges in using the Log frame approach

Target Group: This course targets program managers, fundraising staff, Local government employees, Managers, department heads, team leaders and supervisors of NGOs, LNGOs, CBOs, Church leaders, technical and academic team members.
